Reply to the report in the newspaper "20minutes" of the 13/04/2010 "Some day they will shoot themselves in the foot".

By Abdel Azziz Qaasim Illi *

(qi) Neither the Islamic Central Council Switzerland (ICCS) nor its exponents have in the past ever demanded "parallel societies". On the contrary. We acknowledge the social order as it currently exists and we neither want to change nor introduce a parallel jurisdiction. We have always stressed that all our efforts move to a less distorted image of Islam in the frame of the Swiss constitutional order and the laws. One can not blame us, however, in analogy to the Jewish fellow citizens, that we organize ourselves collectively as a minority and claim our rights, especially those of religion and freedom of worship with vehemence. That we in this rely on the Federal Constitution, should be proof enough that we act precisely in the frame of  the laws of the society and not outside of it.

* This is by the way my real name. Patric Jérome I was called up in 2004, the name was changed officially. I ask for respecting this fact.
