Even if one would allow us: Stoning has no place here! |
|

(qi) ICCS President, Nicolas Blancho was yesterday evening in the TV show Infrarouge on TSR1 (Télevision Suisse Romande 1). In contrast to the hectic Arena of SF1 (Schweizer Fernsehen1), all participants succeeded in presenting their views objectively and in more civilized manner. Blancho defended the vision - not demand ! - that there will be in future also in Switzerland Islamic schools. He stated at the same time clearly that these schools did not go to the expense of taxpayers, but should be borne by the Muslims themselves. Furthermore it is not yet about specific projects, but abstract ideas, which need further discussion.
The debate about values Blancho categorically rejected with reference to the values phobia of Habermas. In a heterogeneous society, where homosexuals, Catholics, Jews and other communities with their values lived together, one could not speak of the values par excellence. Much more sense seem to make concepts as those of communitarians to Charles Taylor, under which the individual feels at first home in a communal-juridical situation.
Again addressed in the stoning debate sprawling in German Switzerland Blancho said that one could not demand from him to deny the Scriptures, but that he is clearly speaking out against any application of these and other Hudud punishments outside of a pure Islamic system.
