The Islamic Central Council of Switzerland (ICCS) met today by invitation the Director of the Federal Office for Migration (FOM) Alard du Bois-Reymond in Bern. The conversation was interesting and lasted about an hour. Both sides had the opportunity to get to know each other and their respective requests in more detail. The ICCS delegation around Nicolas Blancho stressed that the rampant media whirlwind of recent weeks is not in the interest of the Central Council and that we work to move from the emotional debate far from facts towards the case specific and solution oriented daily subjects. Also the conversation opened the opportunity to learn more about the collaboration of the confederation with the Islamic associations and  it allowed the ICCS once again to commit itself clearly to the Swiss legal and social order.

The Islamic Central Council of Switzerland (ICCS) is pleased that Mr. du Bois-Reymond is describing the doors of dialogue as basically open, and it confirms its interest to want to participate also in the future in a constructive way.
